- Swanage Railway Company Board

	The Swanage Railway Company is managed by a Board of Directors. All voting shares in the Company are held by the Swanage Railway Trust who nominate at least half the directors including Chairman and Deputy Chairman. The balance are appointed by the Company.

	Started on the Railway as a volunteer in Carriage and Wagon Department following retirement from a thirty odd year career with Barclays Bank - mostly overseas. For a time he took the role of Finance Director with the Railway but a spell of ill health forced a stand down. He gradually resumed tasks with the Company, first as Personnel Officer, then Personnel Director then Company Secretary and Registrar. Definitely not a "railway buff" but a keen amateur Military Historian.
	Peter Sills
	The newest Director on the Company Board, Peter Sills is also a Council of Management member and Chairman of the Purbeck Mineral and Mining Museum Group within the SRT. Peter brings a range of skills to the board that are drawn from his experiences in marketing and communications as well as a former parish councillor.
